As an academic stepping into entrepreneurship, there’s naturally some uncertainty. Emergence gave me the confidence, belief and momentum to move from research toward building something with real-world impact. It helped frame our scientific work for translation and shape a clearer path forward. Emergence is more than an accelerator — it’s a launchpad for science-driven founders with purpose.

How are you innovating to advance preventive medicine?

We are developing adaptive, multi-modal sensing systems that move beyond static biomarker panels. By actively probing biofluid samples such as blood and saliva, we capture how biological systems respond — generating dynamic biochemical signatures that traditional diagnostics miss. We are initially focused on liver injury monitoring for drug safety with a long-term vision of enabling earlier, non-invasive detection of liver disease in the clinic.

How has Emergence contributed to your work?

Emergence gave me the momentum and support to think beyond the lab — helping frame our scientific work for translation while connecting us with mentors, investors, and experienced operators.

How did coaches, industry and investor collaborators impact your success?

One of the highest-value aspects of Emergence was access to carefully selected mentors with deep expertise in biosensing, diagnostics, and healthtech. Regular interactions with experienced advisors who understood both the science and its path to clinical and commercial impact were especially valuable. I’m leaving with greater clarity, a stronger network, and early investor interest — all of which I attribute directly to the accelerator.
