About Oleo

Oleo is pioneering a new process for developing a sustainable, deforestation-free, lab-grown alternative to palm oil. The process consists of fermenting microorganisms to accumulate a synthetic oil and involves two technical breakthroughs. Oleo is also developing a process that can be implemented directly with smallholders in producing nations to preserve the economic backbone of local communities.
