The Emergence Program on Impact Entrepreneurship at Stanford University leverages Stanford’s academic thought leadership and Silicon Valley’s history of innovation to inspire a new innovation ecosystem - one focused on addressing the systemic drivers and root causes of global health challenges with an inclusive, preventive approach.

The Emergence Family Office Executive Education Program is designed exclusively for Family Office members. The program is a custom 3 day experience that provides participants with a deep dive into the key elements of Impact Entrepreneurship, Purposeful Leadership, Driving Systemic Change, Responsible Innovation, and Investing for Social Impact. 

The program features lectures from Stanford faculty and thought leaders as well as investors, start-up founders and subject matter experts, combined with hands-on activities and coaching in systems thinking, impact investment, and entrepreneurship.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE:

  • Welcome Reception 
  • Full Day - Day 1 - Why Impact Entrepreneurship? 
    Introduction to Socially Conscious Innovation & Impact Driven Entrepreneurship, including Systemic Drivers of Health and Systems Change. Presenters from Stanford Schools of Business, Medicine, Engineering and Sustainability. 
  • Full Day - Day 2 - Impact Ventures and Investing 
    Overview of the Innovation Ecosystem & Innovation Trends, Social Impact Investing - "The Right Thing in the Smart Way," Defining and Measuring Impact. Fireside Chats with Family Office principals/Investors. Hands on workshops with Impact Founders and VCs from Stanford and Silicon Valley. 
  • Half Day - Day 3 - From Theory to Action 
    Purposeful Leadership, Responsible Innovation, Silicon Valley 2.0, Next Steps and Future Opportunities

PROGRAM SIZE: Program will be capped at 30 participants to ensure a high quality experience.

  • Understand your values and investment thesis, the key elements of launching a mission driven start-up, and how to vet social impact ventures and investments.
  • Participate in experiential learning focused on innovation, partnerships, business models, and funding sources to improve global health at scale.
  • Build relationships with impact start-up founders and impact oriented VCs and investors.
  • Collaborate and engage with other Family Office members.
  • Receive a Certificate of Completion and join the Emergence community.
