Alex Powers
Alex, a PhD student in Chemistry, is a scientist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in computational drug discovery. As an interdisciplinary researcher at the Stanford AI Laboratory, he’s coauthored over 20 research papers and led international teams to discover new medicines and mechanisms. He is passionate about applying cutting edge AI methods to solve global health challenges. Alex graduated with a degree in Chemical Biology and minor in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley, where he also served as the Editor-in-Chief of a scientific journal. His expertise and interests include medicinal chemistry, machine learning, graphic design, and science communication.
