Dawn Androphy

Dawn Androphy is a second year MBA student at Stanford GSB who is passionate about improving health and wellness outcomes for LGBTQ+ people. For over a decade, she has focused on building community and support systems for LGBTQ+ young people, including volunteering weekly with youth and young adults at Lambert House in Seattle and leading the Out For Undergrad (O4U) Tech Conference for high-achieving undergraduates. Professionally, she worked at BCG in the New York office and then at Microsoft, where she worked in Corporate Strategy, M&A, and Product Strategy. While at Microsoft, she completed an externship with the WHO’s Digital Health Technical Advisory Group. At the GSB, she leads the Healthcare Deal Team for the GSB Impact Fund, plans community events for GSB Pride, and is co-leading a Global Study Trip to South Africa focused on sustainable inclusive economic growth. Her goal at the GSB and beyond is to launch a venture to provide high-quality, affordable, and accessible culturally competent mental health care to LGBTQ+ people. Originally from St. Louis, MO, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in American History. At Penn, she was selected for the Student Award of Merit, awarded annually to five graduating students who actively contributed to campus life through activities and leadership.

About Switchboard Health

Switchboard Health, is addressing gaps in behavioral and mental health care for the LGBTQ+ community. It helps LGBTQ+ young adults flourish through exploring identity, transitioning, and disclosing identity to others, before their needs escalate to crisis care. It connects LGBTQ+ people with culturally-competent group teletherapy and digital journaling tools suited to their goals, identity, and acuity level. Switchboard is committed to building a solution that meets users’ needs with a focus on affordability, accessibility, and support.
