Sheel Sansare

Sheel is a second year Structural Engineering Master’s student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department with heavy interest, and experience, in AI and entrepreneurship for the Real Estate and Construction Industry. His professional experience has been at various construction and structural design firms where he primarily built tools to automate tedious tasks. He holds an Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The US construction industry produces 600 million tons of material waste each year largely due to inaccurate material procurement and rework due to construction mistakes. Spect AI’s platform allows contractors to catch mistakes before materials are ordered, and therefore reduce waste and money lost to rework.
